Michelle started training in the Chinese Martial Art of Wing Chun Kung Fu as a child at age 7. Her mother asked her to stick with it for at least 1 year. After a year of training Wing Chun Kung Fu, Michelle chose to stay and learn more from her Instructor.  

As the years had passed Michelle had won a collection of medals from in house tournaments. She had won 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in various tournaments for forms and sparring. 

Michelle also achieved her golden sash in Wing Chun Kung Fu. The Golden Sash is the most prestigious rank one can earn in the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu. After training continuously for 5 years, 6 days a week, Michelle decided that she wanted to learn a new martial art and she chose to take up Taekwondo. 

Michelle stuck with Taekwondo and during this time she decided to take a break because of her injuries. 6 months later Michelle came back and started doing Muay Thai kickboxing as she wanted to mix up her training regime.

Michelle worked her way up the Muay Thai ranks and to take her training even further she decided to cross train in several art forms. Bushidokan (Karate), Brazilian Jujitsu and Kali.

To this day Michelle continues to train under these martial arts and is now teaching with Personal Protection Training under Simon’s guidance and mentorship. She takes much enjoyment from passing on her knowledge and inspiring the next generation of students to achieve greatness in the Martial Arts
